My Unforgettable Experience in the UK| It pays to apply! | Ntyam Minko Princia

After experiencing a good number of online programs, I never imagined I'd make it to the UK, let alone be fully sponsored to attend an international program.

But life had other plans. I received an email saying I was offered a full scholarship among seven other Africans to attend the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) as a Yosa scholar in July 2025. I was overwhelmed with joy!

Highlights of LIYSF

- I was one of only seven Africans selected, with five of us receiving full scholarships.

- Over 400-500 participants from 92 countries attended – mind-blowing!

- I met HRH Princess Anne Elizabeth and Nobel Laureate Prof David McMillan from Princeton University.

- I was the first Cameroonian in 66 years (since 1959) to get a full scholarship to this program.

- I stayed at Imperial College London (#2 globally, #1 in Europe!).

Amazing Experiences

- Visited National Space Academy, Cambridge University, and more!

- Participated in the International Cabaret, Olympiad, and was part of the winning Red Halls team.

- Met changemakers, ISEF winners from Slovakia and Texas, and many inspiring people.
