In our sculpture studio research, we explored the intricate relationship between education and growth through an abstract figure of a woman feeding egrets (birds) with seeds.
This work serves as a metaphor for the university as a nurturing entity, where the woman symbolizes the institution, and as egrets grow from fledglings to skilled hunters, the birds represent the transformation the students undergo throughout their university journey, gaining knowledge and skills that prepare them for the future.
The seeds she offers symbolize the knowledge and opportunities that the university provides. Just as seeds nourish and foster growth in the natural world, the knowledge and experiences shared within academic settings cultivate the minds of students, allowing them to flourish.
