Saturday, July 12th, 2025, marked a powerful milestone as we officially welcomed the Batch of Fortitude - forty of them in number, into the Open Dreams community through the Matriculation Ceremony at our Yaoundé hub. This sacred rite of passage is a solemn affirmation of purpose, potential, and promise.

The Matriculation Ceremony is a moment of recognition and belonging to a class of the selected. It symbolizes the transition from aspiration to action, from dreamers to doers, with Open Dreams being the stage on which they stand. Each new Pre-Scholar is not only celebrated but also challenged to rise with courage, resilience, and integrity, living up to the name “Fortitude."

In a world that constantly tests our limits, the Batch of Fortitude stands as a reminder that strength lies not in the absence of hardship, but in the unwavering will to persevere, to lead, and to uplift, even in challenging times like the one we currently facing, with sweeping changes to the international education landscape. These young minds are now part of a global family where dreams are nurtured, excellence is cultivated, and service to community in programs like the Aviva Week are a shared responsibility.

To our newest scholars: this day, you wear the Open Dreams Badge with pride. Tomorrow, you carry its mission forward, with bold ideas, brave hearts, and boundless hope, while contributing to community transformation.
