The Teen Summer Program USA: A Glimpse into Global Development Leadership | Abigail Epongseh

This summer has been nothing short of transformational. From the halls of the World Bank to the strategic rooms of the International Monetary Fund and the impactful missions at the Inter-American Development Bank, I had the rare opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute through the Teen Summer Program. Each experience expanded my vision of global development, leadership, and youth involvement in shaping a better world. I am deeply grateful to every mentor, leader, and peer who invested in me throughout this journey.

From engaging in high-level discussions with experts at the World Bank, to pitching innovative solutions at the IMF, and working on real-life development projects at the IDB, every step was filled with growth.

We met global changemakers who inspired us, carried out group projects that challenged our thinking, and gained tools that we will carry for a lifetime. I remain deeply grateful to God, my parents, mentors, and every person who has supported this journey.

To crown it all, I am honored to be nominated as the Outstanding Student Leader of the Year 2025 by the Cameroon Youth Awards. This nomination is not just a personal milestone; it is a reminder that the best is yet to come
