On February 28th, 2025, the Buea Open Dreams Family had the honor of attending the End-of-Year Prize Award Ceremony at the Buea Regional Hospital. This special event recognized and rewarded hardworking staff who went above and beyond in their service to patients in the year 2024.
As part of the ceremony, our team had the privilege of presenting an award to the Neonatal Unit of the hospital. This dedicated team works tirelessly to save the lives of preterm babies, offering them a fighting chance at life despite the challenges they face. Their commitment and passion are truly inspiring, and it was a joy to celebrate their efforts, which align with the Aviva Initiative at Open Dreams.
The Director of the hospital, Dr. Ngomba Divine Martin Mokake, expressed deep gratitude to Open Dreams, not only for our gifts but also for our continued support and care for the neonatology unit of the hospital. His words reminded us why we do what we do to uplift and empower communities, including those in the healthcare sector who make a real difference every day delivering healthcare services and saving lives.
