I am the Second OD Mandela Rhodes Scholar | Nigel Timah

Open Dreams

ɪ ᵃᵐ ᵖˡᵉᵃˢᵉᵈ ᵗᵒ ᵃⁿⁿᵒᵘⁿᶜᵉ ᵗʰᵃᵗ......

I am feeling excited to announce that I have been awarded the Prestigious The Mandela Rhodes Foundation Scholarship for the year 2025. This will permit me to embark on a Master's Degree at the University of Cape Town which is the highest ranked public institution in Africa.

After a rigorous application process, and an onsite Interview in South Africa, I am happy I made it through as the 14th Cameroonian to harness this scholarship and the 2nd from Open Dreams since the creation of the foundation in 2003.

This did cost me a lot of social media inactivity as I had to apply for several schools during the scholarship application and got a lot of rejections.

This scholarship is a huge milestone for me due to the fact that I had to utilize my whole network to harness it and I never understood the African Philosophy "Ubuntu" until I started applying for this scholarship.
