Returning to the TiC Summit this time wasn’t just about participating again — it was about showing up with deeper skills, fresh ideas, and a stronger voice.

Last year, this journey sparked something meaningful in me — a curiosity for tech, a desire to solve real-world problems, and the courage to lead. And that spark didn’t just stop with me. Together with some amazing peers, we co-founded the Tech Club at school under the mentorship of the TiC Foundation. From sharing ideas to supporting one another in workshops, our club became a space where students could dream, build, and grow — whether in hardware or software projects.

Also, two teams from our club placed in the top three at the TIC Summit finals and received cash prizes. And during the same period, my team and I also had the chance to represent our school at the Girls’ Science Day at Polytechnic — pitching and hacking alongside university students. Proudly, we were placed 4th, proving that with passion and preparation, age is just a number.

Nevertheless, during the year, my team and I came up with the UI design of our Career Orientation App COREA— an App designed to guide students in making meaningful choices aligned with their passions and talents.

As the team lead of this project, I helped shape our vision and built the technical and design flow, from the Figma prototype to our final presentations. It was a test of teamwork, creativity, and grit.

From the Area 2 Hackathon to the regional qualifiers, and then the national finals — where we were ranked among the top 10 teams — every step was a lesson in growth, resilience, and impact.

Huge thanks to Madam Yollande Azambou , whose belief in us never wavered, to Sir Bill Agha , the visionary behind the TIC Summit, and to the inspiring TIC tech team that stood behind all of us. Sometimes, all it takes is one idea, the right team, and a platform that believes in young people, and the ripple effects can be extraordinary.

Leadership isn’t about the spotlight — it’s about sparking light in others.
