A Dream Realized: Lena Jerry'19 Joins HKBU Research Team After Graduating with Honors

We are proud to highlight the achievement of one of our pioneer Pre-Scholars from the Yaoundé hub, who has just graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology, awarded with First Class Honors!

This outstanding scholar, Lena Jerry, started her journey with Open Dreams as part of the very first cohort of Pre-Scholars in Yaoundé. Her global ambitions took her to HKBU where she found an amazing home.

Following graduation, the scholar will be joining HKBU as a research staff member for the upcoming academic year, with plans to pursue postgraduate research studies.

Her success highlights the power of early mentorship, opportunity, and determination.
