2025 Cameroon Youth Award - Abigail Mbatu and Manfred Agha honoured

On August 22nd, 2025, during the Cameroon Youth Award at Krystal Palace Hotel in Douala- Cameroon, we had the privilege of being invited as special guests.

As the VP of CAMPYNET and representative, it was not only a privilege to come and celebrate alongside like-minded people but also a reminder of our responsibility to build a lasting legacy.

Special kudos to Abigail Mbatu and Manfred Asah Agha, of the TiC Foundation and Open Dreams, who won the Outstanding Young Leader of the year and the Innovation Award, respectively. Open Dreams is a place where visionary ideas come to life.

As a global health advocate, Manfred's innovation, smart glasses for the blind, is truly commendable. There is hope in healthcare; blind individuals can gain freedom. A similar promise holds for youth leadership as exemplified by Abigail who just returned from the USA after participating in the Prestigious Teens Summer Program organized by the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the Inter-American Development Bank. Manfred also participated in the Chevron Engineering Leadership Program at the African Leadership Academy. He has won other awards as well.
