Congratulations to Ndum Zavier, who has just earned his PhD in a rare and highly specialized science field at Texas A&M University!
Zavier’s doctoral journey has taken him into the fascinating convergence of nuclear engineering, artificial intelligence, and advanced reactor technologies.
His research focused on developing AI-driven approaches to automate and strengthen nuclear modeling and simulation workflows, leveraging generative AI and digital twin technologies to support safer, more intelligent nuclear systems.
Beyond his university lab, Zavier’s expertise led him to conduct high-impact research at Argonne National Laboratory, one of the U.S. Department of Energy’s premier scientific facilities, where he developed innovative AI tools that continue to gain broad recognition across the field.
Throughout his doctoral journey, his research contributions to AI-driven nuclear engineering have earned top honors, including the JD Williams Student Paper Award from the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management, the prestigious Chevron Energy Fellowship, as well as prominent awards and fellowships from the Health Physics Society (HPS) and the American Nuclear Society (ANS).
