We are delighted to announce that, beginning this year, our team member, Philip Nteta, will serve as the Chair of the Open Dreams Infrastructural Development Drive.
Over the next decade, Mr. Nteta will lead a dedicated team of professionals, including architects, engineers, urban planners, project managers, and other experts from the Open Dreams ecosystem, to spearhead the vision, planning, resource mobilization, and implementation of one of our most ambitious initiatives: the Open Dreams Center of Excellence, also known as the Open Dreams Village, in Yaoundé, the capital city of Cameroon.

Working closely with partners and supporters around the world, the team will coordinate fundraising campaigns, strategic partnerships, land acquisition, master planning, architectural design, construction of world-class learning and innovation facilities, procurement of critical infrastructure and fixed assets, sustainability planning, and the long-term development of a campus that will serve generations of young African leaders, and more.
Mr. Nteta brings to this role a wealth of leadership and project management experience. Through prestigious international exchange programs, including the Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program and the Fulbright Foreign Student Program (FFSP), he has developed a strong commitment to educational advancement and community impact. He is also an Environmental Engineer from the National Advanced School of Public Works, Yaoundé. His work has significantly expanded graduate opportunities at Open Dreams. Through the Open Dreams Mentorship Programs Guide, he has helped countless graduates discover and successfully pursue scholarships, fellowships, and professional development opportunities around the world.
As the founding President of the Cameroon Fulbright TEA Alumni Association (CAFTAL), Mr. Nteta successfully led and coordinated impactful projects across Cameroon, earning several awards for his outstanding leadership and service. Today, he continues to play a pivotal role in implementing the Open Dreams strategic vision as a foundational Graduate Mentorship Executive, where he mentors graduates and strengthens pathways to global opportunities.
Philip was also instrumental in the establishment of the Open Dreams Center in Yaoundé in 2019, helping transform the vision of a home for Open Dreams Yaoundé Hub into reality. His new leadership role is a natural progression built on years of dedication, strategic leadership, and unwavering commitment to the organization's future.

Supporting him in this important assignment as co-chair will be Dr. Karen Essiane Davide, a graduate of FMBS Yaoundé. At the Yaoundé Open Dreams Hub, Dr. Karen Essiane has distinguished herself through her exceptional leadership in co-planning and executing several flagship Open Dreams initiatives, including the Open Dreams Graduate Summit, the Aviva Initiative, and numerous community health programs implemented by Open Dreams and its partner organizations.
Together, Nteta Philip, Dr. Karen Essiane Davide, and the broader Infrastructure Development Team will help lay the physical foundation for Open Dreams' next chapter—creating a world-class campus where innovation, learning, leadership, research, entrepreneurship, and community impact will flourish for decades to come.
